Elisabeth Hasselbeck, a co-host of ABC's daytime show "The View," gave birth to a baby girl Wednesday (April 6).

Hasselbeck, 27, and her husband, Washington Redskins backup quarterback Tim Hasselbeck, welcomed their first child at a New York hospital, the AP reports. The baby weighed 7 pounds, 8 ounces and shares a birthday with her dad, who turned 27 Wednesday.

"Both Elisabeth and I are extremely excited and we're so happy that everyone is healthy," Tim Hasselbeck says in a statement.

The couple didn't reveal the child's name. Instead, Elisabeth Hasselbeck will call into "The View" during Thursday's show and tell co-hosts Meredith Vieira, Joy Behar and Star Jones Reynolds -- along with the viewing audience -- the name she and her husband decided.

As Elisabeth Filarski, Hasselbeck competed on "Survivor: The Australian Outback" in 2001. She married her college sweetheart the following year.

"The View" has lined up a number of guest co-hosts to take Hasselbeck's spot while she's on maternity leave. Teen star Hilary Duff is filling in this week, and tennis starlet Anna Kournikova and "That '70s Show" star Mila Kunis are lined up for later in the month.
